HALIFAX, MA – August 23rd, 2019 – Miles Holman took home the blue ribbon as a result of his winning round in the MHC Junior Medal at the Fieldstone Summer Show Case.

Miles rode to the top spot with instruction from trainer David Oliynyk of Oliynyk Show Stables aboard a horse named Ironman. Winning the class was somewhat of a relief to Miles after he explains that he has been second in the NEHC medal more times that he cares to admit this year.

Miles has been paired with his mount, Ironman aka Manny, since last November. On how the course road, he explains that "all of the related distances on this course worked perfectly for my horse. I focused on finding nice distances into my lines, remaining in my two point position and let my stride take care of the rest”.

While Miles is currently 17 years old, As of December 1, 2018 he was 16, meaning that he still has one more year left of competing as a junior. He is excited to return to MHC finals during the last weekend of September at Three County Fair Grounds in Northampton, MA.

Miles is the 2014 MHC Mini-Meal Finals Champion, was 4th in Junior Medal in 2016 and 8th in 2017 but is prepared to shoot higher this year. "I'm looking forward to being able to navigate that indoor with more control now, because I'm now riding a horse with a lot of adjustability which will be very helpful in the tighter turns," says Holman. "I love these finals because they are challenging given the number of competitors and difficulty of the courses and it’s always very organized."

We can’t wait to see what you bring to the ring this year, Miles, good luck!
