Halifax, MA - June 23rd - Caroline Tinsley bested a field of 11 at the Fieldstone Show Park for the win in the MHC Mini-Medal.

Tinsley, who trains with Mitch and Kathy Steege of Red Acre Farm based in Stow, MA has been a long time pony rider in the New England area with a focus on the hunters. Over the last two years she has dominated in the children's hunter pony division taking home championships from the Fieldstone Show Park, HITS Saugerties, Zone 1 Finals as well as the Vermont Summer Festival. In 2014 she was 3rd overall at the Children's Hunter Pony Finals. Thursday was her first stab at the equitation.

"I was really happy with my course because it was fluid and even," said Tinsley.

Winning the class on Thursday qualified her for the 2016 Days of Champions. "I haven't been to the MHC finals before. I'm really looking forward to it. My goal for my first year is to put in a good round and have fun while doing it," said Tinsley.

While Caroline is new to the equitation ring her trusted mount, All That, is a seasoned veteran. The large pony gelding owned by Charlotte Keesler was 8th at last year's MHC Mini-Medal Finals.

In addition, All That, also known as "Ollie," has received top honors in the regular pony hunter division at shows such as the USEF Pony Finals, Pin Oak, WEF and Brandywine while at Heritage Farm with trainer Patricia Griffith. Since then he has spent the last few years with trainer Joyce Mersereau of Stoneymeade Farm of Concord, MA.

Ollie will likely be Caroline's chosen mount for the MHC finals.
